Adrian grew up in South Wales. He studied dentistry at the University of Wales college of Medicine in Cardiff, qualifying in 1992.
After leaving university he took up a post in a multiple practitioner dental practice in Cheadle Hulme. Always wishing to be busy he added two other part time posts.
In 1998, Adrian took over a single handed practice from a local dentist here in Marple Bridge, Stockport.
In 1999, a second surgery was added and this was the start of a “roller coaster” expansion of the practice with a couple of bumps (floods) along the way!
In 2003, Adrian studied Dental Implants for 12 months with Professor Cemal Ucer at Trafford General Hospital.
He is a member of several professional bodies including the ADI, BDA, Stockport Local Dental Committee and he is also currently the Dental representative for the Marple and Werneth CCG. Adrian has recently been elected as the chairman of the Stockport Local Dental Committee.
In his spare time Adrian likes to spend time with his family and dog Oscar, occasionally play golf and socialise with friends.
Anita qualified from University of Manchester in 1996 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree.
Having completed her vocational training in 1997, Anita then practiced dentistry within the local Stockport Area.
Anita joined The Bridge Dental Care in 1999 and has become a conscientious and valuable member of the team who dedicates her knowledge and training to treat patients in a happy and friendly environment
Sarah qualified from Leeds University in 1993, and completed her vocational training in Hull.
She then moved to work in private practice in Auckland, New Zealand before returning to the UK and working in Bristol and Bath.
Sarah then worked in Private practice in Melbourne Australia and returned to her hometown of Manchester in 2001 where she worked in private practice on Barrington Road, Altrincham. During this time she studied a year’s course on Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry.
After having her son in 2009, Sarah continued to work part time. She feels that her experiences of working in other parts of the UK and abroad have increased her enjoyment of all aspects of General Dental Practice.
Outside of dentistry Sarah loves spending time with her family, walking in the Lakes and the Peak District.
Alice qualified from Sheffield University in 1989. She then worked in a practice in South Yorkshire, subsequently going back to University to study further in 1991.
Alice then secured a job as a research associate in Oral Surgery and gained a masters in Oral Surgery.
Alice then worked as part of the biomaterials team and left academia in 1999 to start a family.
Alice did however keep up her ties with hospital dentistry and academia as she currently holds a post of speciality dentist within the Oral Surgery department at the Manchester Dental Hospital. In 2015 Alice has recently started working within the Children’s department also.
Alice joined The Bridge Dental Care in 2011 and carries out the majority of extractions and complex root canal treatments, as well as general dentistry. In her spare time Alice enjoys spending time with her children and working on her allotment.
Masaret (known by us all as ‘Maz’) began her career in dentistry by studying for her Dental Technology degree. Working with dentists in the production of Dental Technical work ignited her passion for Dentistry, she therefore decided to further her career and applied to study Dental Surgery at Guy’s Hospital in London.
Having qualified in 2012, Maz relocated back to the locality and commenced her career in Dental Practice.
Always looking to gain new skills, Maz completed her Inman Aligner training in 2013 and since has been creating some beautiful smiles.
In 2014 Maz completed a years training in Maxillofacial Surgery at Wythenshawe Hospital to improve her advanced Oral Surgery skills.
Masaret joined The Bridge Dental Care in 2015
Sharon joined the practice in 2005 to work part time as a dental hygienist.
She began her life in dentistry at the age of 18 at Manchester Dental Hospital where she trained as a dental surgery assistant. She then continued to work at the hospital where she qualified in the Children’s department specialising in special needs.
Sharon then commenced with further training as a Dental Hygienist and has worked in a variety of surgeries and hospital departments.
Her work has been a continual learning curve by attending courses and lectures in order to keep up to date with her professional development.
In her spare time, Sharon enjoys reading, going to the cinema and spending time with her family.
Helen originally qualified as a Dental Nurse in Sheffield 2006, subsequently passing her Oral Health post graduate qualification in 2010 amongst others.
Helen decided that she would further her training and gained a place to study Dental Hygiene and Therapy at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield in 2011.
We are very proud to say that Helen achieved the highest ever recorded results in her examination and gained her diploma in 2013.
Helen has proved to be a very valuable addition to our practice and predominantly supports our principle dentist in delivering patient care.
In her spare time Helen enjoys walking, hiking, snowboarding and other extreme sports.
Joanne qualified in 2013 as a Dental Hygiene Therapist.
Joanne studied at the Salford Dental School for Dental Care Professionals.
Before qualifying as a Dental Hygiene Therapist, Joanne was working for many years as a dental nurse which she enjoyed greatly. In fact, it spurred Joanne on to become a Dental Therapist.
Further to qualifying, Joanne has completed a radiography course which has enabled her to not only take radiographs but to prescribe them also.
Joanne thoroughly enjoys her job and looks forward to learning more over the years to come.
In her spare time, Joanne enjoys keeping fit and socialising with friends and family.
Lisa joined the practice back in 2000 as a trainee dental nurse.
She qualified in 2004 and has since progressed through many roles within the practice.
Since returning after her 2nd maternity leave in 2013 her role has become mainly non-clinical, she currently works part time as The Practice Manager.
Lisa is married with two little girls who take up all of her spare time!
Catherine joined the practice in April 2012 as a trainee dental nurse.
Catherine qualified in record time of just under a year with Start Training in May 2013.
Since qualifying Catherine has taken on more responsibility within the practice. In January 2015 she completed an NVQ in team leading and management.
Catherine is our BDA Good practice scheme lead and oversees all of our practice policies and compliance strategies. Having recently taken on the new job role of Deputy manager she now supports Lisa in the management of the practice.
Catherine is our practice treatment co-ordinator. Her role involves overseeing all cosmetic and smile makeover cases within our practice as well as providing treatment co-ordination information to patients.
In her spare time Catherine is busy planning her wedding and spending time with her niece and nephew.
Charlotte joined the practice in 2010 as a trainee dental nurse.
She qualified at the Manchester Dental Hospital in 2012.
Charlotte is our Cross Infection Control lead. In her role she oversees compliance of cross infection control measures carried out within the practice. Further she is in charge of training, auditing and reviewing practice policies in line with Best Practice.
Charlotte has a keen interest in cosmetic procedures within the practice. She enjoys nursing for complex restorative cases such as implants and smile makeovers.
In her spare time, Charlotte is a social butterfly! She enjoys spending time with her friends, shopping and travelling; especially to New York.
Megan joined the practice in April 2012 as a trainee dental nurse.
She qualified in record time of just under a year with Start training back in May 2013.
Megan is our financial control lead as well as support to Catherine in terms of auditing general practice compliance.
She is currently studying for her Oral health education certificate in preparation for further training as a Dental Therapist.
In her spare time Megan enjoys going to the gym and socialising with her friends.
Hannah joined the practice in 2013 as a trainee dental nurse.
She has recently completed her NVQ and is looking forward to qualifying fully and registering with the General dental council as a dental care professional.
Hannah is our compliance assistant. Her role involves supporting Catherine, Megan and Charlotte in their roles to ensure that we continue to meet the high standards that are expected in any clinical setting.
In her spare time Hannah enjoys socialising and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Hannah joined the practice in 2014 as a trainee dental nurse and is our newest member of the support staff.
She is currently working full time and studying for her NVQ in dental nursing with Start Training. She hopes to complete this and continue to progress within the practice.
Hannah is currently enjoying learning all about teeth. In surgery she especially enjoys being involved with patient's preventative care and the restorative of their teeth.
In her spare time Hannah is busy running around after her son and socialising with friends and family.
